This course covers everything required in the Approved Code of Practice for Cranes, the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, the Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016, and industry good practice guidelines. This course should be retaken every 3 years or sooner.
Managers
You can download our practical assessment guide here when logged in. Note that you can modify this to suit your company and its operations.
Optional modules
You can disable various modules to tailor the course more specifically to your requirements. This will save up to 55 minutes off the course time, depending on how many you disable.
The process
Once you have purchased your course licence(s):
- Invite or add your operator to the course
- Once they have finished the theory, you'll get an email.
- Conduct the practical assessment (download it from the link above)
- Validate the course to create the operator's certificate and ID card.
You can now download the operator's certificate and ID card, and add the ID card to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet.
Trainees
You must complete all the modules before your supervisor or manager can validate your course and generate the final certificate. You may have to complete a practical assessment before your employer issues you with the certificate and ID card.
If you purchased the slinging (dogman) refresher course yourself, you can share your profile with a manager who will then be able to follow the process above.
If you were assigned the course by someone else, they will be notified when you finish the course.
