This course covers everything required in the Approved Code of Practice for a Forklift Operator's Certificate (also called a forklift OSH certificate or forklift licence) plus unit standard 10851. The operator's certificate should be retaken every 3 years or earlier.
The theory tests will usually be marked the day after they are submitted.
The unit standard practical test is conducted at any TR Driver Training branch and the operator's certificate will be completed at the same time.
Managers
Optional: It is possible for you to create the operator's certificate internally before the unit standard test if you need your operator to have the operator's certificate before they can attend the practical assessment at TR Driver Training.

The process
Once you have purchased your course licence(s):
- Invite or add your operator to the course
- Once they have finished the theory, you'll get an email.
- Book them in at TR Driver Training using this form or by calling 0800 637 000
- Optional: Conduct a practical assessment (download it from the link above)
- Optional: Validate the course to create the operator's certificate.
You can now download the operator's certificate and ID card.
Trainees
You must complete all the modules before you can book the practical test or before your supervisor or manager can validate your course and generate the final certificate.
