This course is for new and existing gantry crane operators to ensure that they understand best practices for safety and operation of a gantry/bridge crane. It includes information about rigging and slinging, as well as operating gantry cranes using a pendant or remote control. Note that this course does not include cab-operated gantry cranes, although the principals are similar.
You must complete all the modules before your supervisor or manager can validate your course and generate the final certificate. You may have to complete a practical assessment before your employer issues you with the certificate and ID card.
This course should be retaken every 3 years or earlier.
