Many people, particularly on construction sites and, in busy yards, end up helping a driver manoeuvre a vehicle in tight areas. However, few people get trained in doing it, and this leads to:
- Slow and frustrating manoeuvres that are not efficient
- Miscommunications between the driver and spotter
- Risk of damage
The course has been put together by TR Group. It owns over 9000 trucks and trailers of all kinds of dimensions, plus some other equipment. This course covers over 20 types of vehicles from cars and utes through to construction machinery. It highlights the vehicle dynamics, blind spots and where to stand when guiding.
After completing the course, the trainee will understand a standardised set of hand signals used for guiding manoeuvring vehicles.
