The course covers the foundation of heavy vehicle load restraint. As load restraint is a critical part of a driver's responsibilities, companies must ensure that their drivers can restrain a load safely.
The course covers the foundation and principles of load security through to specific practical advice and techniques:
- How to use load securing devices such as ratchet straps (strops), chains and binders
- Permits and vehicle selection
- Tarpaulins, racks and stanchions
- Specific vehicles: curtainsiders, rigid trucks, iso container and reefers/chillers.
Module selection can be customised to your drivers. For example, if they don't drive a reefer, simply hide the reefer and chiller trucks module.

- Mezzanine floors
- Freight symbols
- Tarpaulins and tipper covers
- Racks, cages, gates and stanchions
- ISO containers
- Curtainsiders
