The course covers the foundation of heavy vehicle load restraint. As load restraint is a critical part of a driver's responsibilities, companies must ensure that their drivers can restrain a load safely.

The course covers the foundation and principles of load security through to specific practical advice and techniques:

  • How to use load securing devices such as ratchet straps (strops), chains and binders
  • Permits and vehicle selection
  • Tarpaulins, racks and stanchions
  • Specific vehicles: curtainsiders, rigid trucks, iso container and reefers/chillers.

Module selection can be customised to your drivers. For example, if they don't drive a reefer, simply hide the reefer and chiller trucks module.

These modules are optional:

  • Mezzanine floors
  • Freight symbols
  • Tarpaulins and tipper covers
  • Racks, cages, gates and stanchions
  • ISO containers
  • Curtainsiders
  • Rigid trucks and trailers
  • Reefer and chiller trucks
